THE WHOLE of Patagonia

Oyster

A farmed product, served raw. In Magallanes its presence depends on supply from other regions.

The oyster is not a Magellanic identity product: it mostly arrives from elsewhere in southern Chile. It appears on seafood menus as a complement, not an emblem.

THE WHOLE includes it because travellers look for it, but explicitly records that its usual origin is outside the region until verified otherwise.
